While tie dye is not really my style, it’s a fun summer project for the kids. But as Heather Mann points out on “Make & Takes” blog, tie dying can be expensive, sometimes uses toxic inks, and can make a big mess with kids.
Which is why the fact that you can tie dye with tissue paper is so cool in my book. Just look at this cute onsie she made:

Personally, I like the fact that the colors that result with tissue paper are more subdued. Heather gives detailed directions on how you and your kids can make tie dye creations for hardly any cost. I can’t wait to try this out this weekend!
